Is a Spa Pedicure with Massage Worth It?

At $55, a spa pedicure with a 10-minute massage is worth it if you stand or walk a lot, carry tension in your calves, or simply want the appointment to feel like a break rather than a chore. If you are in a hurry or only need clean nails and color, the $28 regular pedicure is the quicker choice.

What does the spa pedicure massage actually include?

There is no separate massage add-on on our menu. Massage comes built into our two spa pedicures. In the Relax Stress pedicure ($55), after sea salt, a sugar scrub, a crème mask and callus removal, your technician spends ten minutes working the feet, ankles and lower legs with massage lotion, then finishes with regular color. The Refresh Anti-Inflammatory pedicure ($70) stretches the massage to fifteen minutes and adds a hot towel wrap and hot stone. Both are available at Forever Nails Spa in Commack any day of the week.

Who gets the most out of it?

How do our two spa pedicures compare?

If you want massage plus pampering, both spa pedicures start the same way, with sea salt, a sugar scrub, a crème mask and massage lotion. The Relax Stress pedicure is $55 and is made for stressed, swollen, tired feet, with callus removal, a 10 minute massage and regular color. You choose one scent: lavender, milk & honey, green tea, jasmine, coffee, olive, cucumber or lemon. The Refresh Anti-Inflammatory pedicure is $70 and helps increase circulation, adding a hot towel wrap, callus treatment, hot stone and a 15 minute massage with regular color.

So the math is simple. A regular pedicure is $28. For $27 more, the Relax Stress adds the sea salt, scrub, mask, callus removal and ten minutes of massage, plus the scent you like. For $15 on top of that, the Refresh Anti-Inflammatory adds the hot towel wrap, hot stone and five more minutes of massage. If ten minutes of massage is what you want, Relax Stress is the better value. If you want the whole ritual, step up to Refresh.

When should you skip it?

Skip it if you are on a tight schedule, since a spa pedicure takes longer than a regular one. Skip it if you only need clean nails and fresh color, because the $28 regular pedicure covers that. And if you have an injury, a recent sprain, or a medical condition affecting circulation in your legs, check with your doctor before adding any massage to a pedicure. Tell your technician about tender spots and we will adjust pressure or skip an area entirely.

Does the massage help the pedicure last longer?

Not directly. Polish wear depends on prep and sealing, not massage. What the scrub, mask and callus care do is keep the skin on your heels and soles softer between visits, which makes the next pedicure quicker and more comfortable. Clients from Dix Hills and East Northport who book a spa pedicure every visit tend to come back on a steady schedule simply because they enjoy it, and regular pedicures are what keep feet looking good through boot season.
