When does a walk-in make sense?
A walk-in works when your service is short and you are flexible on who does it. A regular manicure takes about 20 minutes and a nail repair about 10. Those slide easily between appointments. If you are driving past on Commack Road on the way back from Smithtown or Hauppauge and you have half an hour, come in. Worst case we give you an honest wait time and you can decide.
When should you book instead?
Book when time matters or the service is long. Gel manicures run about 45 minutes, dip powder about an hour, and a Refresh Anti-Inflammatory spa pedicure about an hour as well. A gel manicure plus gel pedicure is a 90 minute block. If you are coming with a friend or a group, booking lets us seat you together. What are the calmest times to come in?
Like most salons, our quietest stretch is usually right after opening on weekdays, between 9:30 and 11:00 in the morning, and the late afternoon on weekdays before the after-work rush. Saturdays fill from late morning on, and Sunday afternoons are steady. The $40 Wednesday Special runs midweek only, so if you want the deal and a quick seat on a Wednesday, aim for mid-morning or call first. What happens if I walk in and you are full?
We will tell you straight. If the wait is short you are welcome to pick a color from the wall of 247 shades and relax at the front. If it is long we will offer the next open time that day or hold a slot for you later in the week. We would rather send you home with an appointment than have you sit for an hour.
